Election Organizers are in charge of reaching out to young Oregonians ages 18-29 to assist in making voting plans. You'll learn about electoral organizing, phone banking, and door-to-door canvassing while making a huge impact.

Position Title
Election Organizer
Compensation
$25/hour, 17-20 hours a week.
Duration
Temporary, part-time, hourly position with weekday, evening, and weekend work required.
Location
Portland, Oregon. Hybrid (both virtual and in-person work required).

We are requiring all team members to be vaccinated for COVID-19 unless a team member has requested and received a health/disability or religious accommodation. For in-person meetings - applicants must follow all in-person covid protocols outlined by the organization (such as masking, and regular covid-19 testing).

Commitment to Next Up and Next Up Action Fund's mission, with an appreciation for the role of electoral justice in social change and movement building.
You are interested in expanding your analysis and knowledge about the role that racial inequity plays in our society, and are committed to building, and deepening your commitment to racial justice work.
Strong time management, problem-solving, organizational skills, and follow-through on projects to meet goals.
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage many audiences -- specifically racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities.
Access to reliable transportation, a laptop, cell phone/phone, and wifi.preferred but not required
