don’t rank rene
Rene Gonzalez is wrong for Portland. While we couldn’t agree on who should be mayor, we were quickly able to decide who should not. Rene has cozied up with corporate interests, tried to undercut the voter-approved charter reform measure, dismantled Portland Street Response, and so much more — for that reason we do not recommend you rank him anywhere on your ballot for mayor.

Allows the Legislature to impeach elected state executives
We are currently the only state without a way to impeach electeds, yikes. Right now, the only way to boot an elected out of office is through expensive recall campaigns. That’s just not right.
Oregon voters should vote yes on Measure 115 to ensure that electeds can be held accountable to the needs of our communities.
-
Establish an independent commission to determine public officials' salaries
Legislators should not be in the business of setting their own salary (just like everybody else). Measure 116 will put everyday Oregonians in charge of setting pay for elected officials, and bring more fairness and accountability to our government. We would join 23 other states who have established similar commissions.
Young people deserve to have a seat at the table. Yet, being able to run for office is often not even a consideration for young citizens because it can seem so out of reach. Legislators are currently paid $35,000 per year for typically full-time work. We need to bring more fairness to our state legislature, and that includes compensating our legislators properly.
We recommend a yes vote on Measure 116.
-
Establish ranked-choice voting for federal and state offices.
Do you ever just look at your ballot and sigh? Well, you wouldn’t be alone. 😮💨
We shouldn’t feel forced to vote for a candidate that’s completely out of alignment with who we want to be in office, but if we do vote for who we want, it kinda feels like throwing away our vote. What if we told you that ranked-choice voting can begin to change that toxic dynamic?
Measure 117 is a simple, tested, nonpartisan improvement to our elections that gives voters more power to vote for the person we actually want in office (😱), without worrying about wasting our vote.
By giving every vote more power, we can tackle the issues that matter most to us and build the future we know is possible. ✨
Ranked choice voting is used in over 50 jurisdictions by 13 million voters, including right here in Oregon (just look at Benton County, Corvallis, and Portland). Many exit polls from across the country show that ranked-choice voting is widely understood and preferred to our current choose-one elections system.
We hope you vote yes on Measure 117.

Requires state-licensed cannabis operations to remain neutral in the event of unionizing.
All employees deserve the right to a fair and equitable workplace. Measure 119 addresses work place fairness and guarantees employees have the opportunity to unionize their workplace. Vote yes.
