Boards of Directors

Next Up (a 501c3) and Next Up Action Fund (a 501c4) are seeking two to four high school students to sit on our Boards of Directors! 📣

The Boards of Directors for Next Up (a 501c3) and Next Up Action Fund (a 501c4) provide oversight and support to the work of the organization. We build community, collaborate with other young advocates, help with fundraising, deliver and shape the organization’s strategic vision, and more. We are fierce community advocates who are deeply committed to building strong youth-led movements in Oregon. We’re all under 35, and are a majority Black, Indigenous, and people of color.

Our c3 board works with Next Up in reviewing and guiding our non-partisan work—including youth civic engagement, voter education and registration, and community leadership training.

Our c4 board works with Next Up Action Fund in reviewing and guiding our political and partisan work—helping to monitor our school board elections, ballot measures that we champion, and electoral candidate support.
