Volunteer with us

The only way we’ve been able to create change is because of volunteers like you!

Just like the work, the needs of the volunteer program at Next Up change often. Sign up using the form below and you’ll hear from our Community Engagement Organizer, who will work with you to find the best volunteer opportunity for you. In addition to opportunities like call nights, attending major events, registering voters, and helping in the office, we also have some consistent volunteer opportunities.

Fun fact: When you sign up to volunteer, you are signing up to volunteer with Next Up Action Fund, which means you could be contacted to volunteer for candidates or be sent information about partisan issues. If you don’t like that idea, opt out in the volunteer form below!

Consistent Opportunities at Next Up

Community Action Team

These dedicated community leaders knock doors, call voters, engage in visibility events, organize fundraisers, and develop their own projects. Without their help this past year, Next Up couldn’t have collected over 600 Dear Legislator cards at community events, registered thousands of voters, and planned awesome events. Youth Action Team

This collective of high school students has consistent meetings and volunteer opportunities to work on issues they care about the most. By engaging in our organizing work, students will learn about the historical contexts of today’s political climate, cultural organizing, activism, de-centering whiteness, and anti-racism work. New American Voter Project

Volunteers will attend the Oath Ceremonies, where Legal Permanent Residents become U.S. Citizens. At this ceremony, volunteers will help new citizens register to vote. The ceremonies start at 2:00pm every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the week. Mark “New American Voter Project” in form below if interested.
