Next Up Action Fund (a 501c4) and Next Up (a 501c3) are seeking 5+ individuals to join one or both of our boards in 2021 and beyond! This might be the opportunity for you if you are interested in building community, collaborating with other young advocates, helping with fundraising, delivering and shaping the organization’s larger strategic vision, and more – all of which we will provide training for. We’re looking for people who are reliable, team players, and dedicated to transforming youth engagement throughout Oregon.

Clackamas Community Engagement Organizer

Next Up is seeking a committed, full-time Clackamas Community Engagement Organizer who will lead our community engagement and leadership development efforts in Clackamas County. This position reports directly to and works closely with our Movement Building Manager.

Deadline: Early submissions are encouraged as we will close the application period prior to the close date if a candidate is selected. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis through October 25th, 2021 and those missing a resume or cover letter will not be considered.

Youth Leadership Organizer

Next Up is seeking a committed, full-time Youth Leadership Organizer who will manage and grow our high school programs. This position reports directly to and works closely with the Movement Building Manager. We’re looking for someone who believes in the power of young people to create change and is passionate about engaging with high school students through responsive organizing cohorts, and political education and advocacy to build a thriving future for the youth of the global majority.

Development Intern

Are you passionate about youth organizing & leadership development? Are you driven to learn more about nonprofit fundraising? Join the Next Up team for an 8-week paid internship to help us reach our fundraising goals and develop some fundraising skills. In the process you’re supporting our work to mobilize diverse young people to move Oregon forward through systems change and leadership development. In this position you will help with our end-of-year storytelling efforts (in line with best practices around ethical storytelling); support our Give!Guide campaign (an 8-week digital fundraising campaign through Willamette Week); and contribute to our long-term plans by researching prospective funders.
