A note from Kenya Juarez, Interim Executive Director

As of March 1, I stepped off the C4 Board and joined Next Up as our Interim Executive Director. I am excited to continue supporting the organization in this new role while we search for our next Executive Director!

As a board member for almost two years, I am deeply committed to this organization and am familiar with its inner workings. I am also committed to pursuing social justice and empowering people of all walks of life. For those who don’t know me, I grew up in Woodburn, Oregon with my first-generation Mexican immigrant family, received degrees in Speech Communication and History, and am currently working on a national campaign to pass paid leave legislation. This builds on my past experience working in statewide and local campaigns to protect access to healthcare, retirement benefits, housing rights, and immigrant rights. When I’m not working, I love cheering on the Trail Blazers, guessing everyone’s astrology sign, and curating playlists no one listens to.

As Interim Executive Director I will provide supervision and support for staff work plans and continue to organize our board leadership around a thoughtful transition into the future.

In community,
Kenya Juarez
Interim Executive Director
