As generations change, so does The Bus. The Bus has taught us that young people can be trusted with power – not as “future leaders,” but as leaders today.
We have worked over the last 18 years to bolster opportunities for youth political pathways and involvement. We want to continue to support the next generation of Oregon’s leaders to build political power and fight for a more just and equitable state, and that means realignment. We need a new name to better match these values, so come all friends – old and new – to help celebrate the amazing future of youth activists and support our new brand.
At the event you can expect:
- Live music
- Learn about opportunities for political engagement
- Delicious food and drinks catered by local restaurants
- An inspiring keynote speaker
- Find out our new name + purchase some awesome new merch
- Basically, an all-ages kick-a** party about activism
We have a goal of raising $20,000 to help move the organization forward into the next era. Proceeds will benefit the Bus Project’s youth leadership programs and will help us continue to advocate for an expansion of voting rights legislation. We’re next up, and we want you to join us.
This is a community event open to all ages.
I like the Bus Project’s name! Why are you changing it?
We have become a state level organization no longer centered around the Bus! We are thousands of young Oregonians doing hands-on democracy, and we need a name to match this.
